Last night, August 3rd, DG Chris Knapp and his wife Vernette, attended our first board meeting of the new Rotary year. Club President Matt Olson and the board members presented a brief summary of the Rotary Club of Waukee’s activities and the goals for the 2016-17 Rotary year.

Today, August 4th, we were honored by the annual visit from our District Governor, Chris Knapp and his wife Vernette and new Assistant District Governor Erna Morain.

The DG complimented our Club with the accomplishments and successes that we have accomplished by saying he wished he could bottle our accomplishments and enthusiasm to pass it along to other Rotary clubs.

Chris also spoke to us about Rotary International’s 2016-17 four objectives ( Polio Eradication, Membership, Foundation and Public Image) and finished by inviting all Rotarians to attend the District and International Conventions in 2017.
All in all it was a great meeting which should challenge us to improve even more this year.
