On October 19th, District 6000 Governor Mike Ruby and his wife, Joanne, joined the Waukee Rotary Club. Mike had a simple message for the Waukee Rotary Club: "Get the most out of Rotary by not being on the sidelines." He said that 90% of Rotary should be done outside of Rotary meetings. District Governor Mike Ruby also brought up 3 pilots that District 6000 is doing this year:
1. There will be 4 hard copies of the district newsletter mailed out to each Rotarian during the year.
2. Instead of a District Conference, there will be 5 "toasts" to Rotary District 6000, held throughout the district.
3. District 6000 is partnering with World Bicycle Relief.
