Kristine Larson - Waukee Public Library

On May 12th, Kristine Larson, Director of the Waukee Public Library, joined us.   She told us that the library serves 350 patrons a day and annually there are 180,000 items that are checked out from the library.   The service area of the library is approximately 40,000 residents.  

 

At this meeting, The Rotary Club also presented the Library a check for sponsoring the Summer Reading Program at the Library.    The Library expects 2,000 youth will take part in this years' Summer Reading Program.   The Rotary Club is proud to sponsor a great program that will keep youths excited about reading over the summer!
