Hopeful Africa founder Moses Bomett was the speaker today at our Waukee Rotary Club.     Moses lived in Kenya for 12 years before his family moved to Iowa when he was 14. It didn’t take long after the move for him to realize that the educational opportunities he found in the United States were ones that just didn’t exist for many children in Africa. That’s when Hopeful Africa was born – when Moses was a student at Valley High School in West Des Moines.

Moses is the founder of Hopeful Africa, an organization dedicated to providing scholarships, as well as books and computers to schools in Africa that desperately need assistance.
