On Saturday, April 22nd 2017, Waukee Rotarians and friends picked up litter along the roadside of Ashworth Road from Maple Church to L.A. Grand Parkway. Roadside Clean-ups are scheduled twice a year (spring and fall) early on Saturday morning. It’s great fellowship and a great service to our community. Overall the ditches were fairly clean, with a few exceptions. For the Waukee Rotary Interact members: Colin, Anna, Margaux and Miranda, the best part about today was “being a part of this wonderful group of people, and helping with the clean up of this road that we travel every day. It was nice to make a difference and to even find a golden arrow lying in the weeds. Earth day was a great day for this”.
