The Concord Coalition is a nonpartisan organization founded in 1992. The Concord Coalition was founded in 1992 by Warren B. Rudman (R- NH), Peter G. Peterson (Former Secretary of Commerce) and the late Senator Paul E. Tsongas (D-MA). The Concord Coalition was formed in response to the Federal Budget deficit.
Currently our Nations debt is equal to 8.4 trillion dollars. The Coalition is concerned about handing off this deficit to our children and grand-children. They believe in a pay as you go budget. We must make tough choices on both spending and taxes. We must have spending caps to help reduce our deficit.
