Chris Bergman - Waukee CAPS Program

On October 30th, Chris Bergman, Executive Director of the Waukee CAPS program, spoke to the Waukee Rotary Club.    The CAPS program is run through Waukee High School and stands for Center for Advanced Professional Studies.   It allows students to learn through real world experience in the areas of Financial & Insurance, Technology, Human Services, Enginnering and Bioscience and Value Added Agriculture.    The CAPS program is open to Waukee juniors and seniors.   2013 was the first year for the program and Ms. Bergman said that all classes are full with 16 kids in each class.
