Waukee Public Library

On May 18th, The Rotary Club presented the Waukee Public Library a check for $5,000 to renovate the children's area at the library.   Kristine Larson, director at the library, accepted the check on the library's behalf.   She said there was 2007 participants in last year's Summer Reading Program.   She also said that the library was also recognized by the State of Iowa for it's STEM Program.   Renovations in the children's area include:

 

- New carpet

- New picturebook shelving

- New hands-on learning area

- New Imagination Station

- Lego Table

- IPAD Learning Station
